Once you make the decision to participate in the 2011 Calendar Project, please call Penny at the Hummingbird office and
let us know the quantity desired. When determining your quantity, be sure to count current patients, new exams in 2011 ,
your referral sources, interested people in the community, teachers and school administrators, coaches, pediatricians,
music and dance instructors, etc. Your 50% non-refundable initial payment is due by June 15, 2010
Hold a contest among your patients featuring drawings related to orthodontics. All drawings should be on white 8 ½ x 11
horizontally oriented white paper without any lines. Start your contest immediately but be sure all drawings are back in
your office by June 15, 2010 We suggest your contest run January through May in order to encourage drawings for all
four seasons.
Select twelve drawings for January through December. Select one drawing for the front and one for the back of the
calendar (or you may substitute photos of your staff or office.)
You may choose up to twenty additional drawings for the Fine Art Gallery to be placed after December.
Lightly print artist’s name and age in PENCIL on the back of each drawing. You do not need to scan the drawings. We will
do that for you.
Take a current digital smiling photo of each of the 12-14 artists whose drawings are selected for January through
December plus any drawing on the front and back. Label their photos with their name and age. Put onto a CD-ROM.
Put your practice artwork (logo, practice name, address, phone, website address, etc.) on
the same CD-ROM. Please also list school holidays etc. that help personalize your
calendars for your area.
All drawings (not folded) and the CD with the artist photos and practice artwork
must be received at the Hummingbird Office no later than July 15, 2010.
We will select colors and send you a proof. Once you approve the final proof, return
it to the Hummingbird office with the balance of your payment. You will receive
your 2011 calendars in October 2010.
